...what now?

My desire to exercise has been an evolving landscape. First it was about losing weight, then it was about keeping it off. Now, It's about what my body can do and my NEED to exercise. Movement makes me happy; it grounds me. Sweating and breathing hard makes me feel alive, capable and strong. Even when I'm doing things that I suck at (rock climbing, golf, power lifting, running), I truly feel my best when I'm sweating up a storm! So, I want you to start thinking about the potential of exercise beyond an end-result goal of weight loss or 'toning up'. Why? Because I want you to live a long, healthy life and regular exercise is part of that equation!

When you stop thinking about how exercise can make your body look and start thinking about it in terms of what it can help your body do, you may have a better appreciation for a long-term workout regime. Being active with your kids, moving safely at your job, achieving performance-based goals like running a race. whatever your reason; move with purpose every day and really make that a part of your life.

And it doesn't have to be go, go, go all the time - there are so many different ways to incorporate exercise into your routine that it is possible to cycle between periods of straight-up working out like a beast and just making sure that you are physically active in some way every day.

This is why I know that, as long as my body is able, you will find me sweaty and out of breath at least once per day! It's not just about keeping the weight off anymore, it's about trying different things and challenging my body in new ways so that I can continue to grow in strength, skill and ability.

Exercise is not a means-to-an-end for me. It's a constant in my life and part of who I am.

Contact me if you are interested in learning more about this - I am truly here to help you make positive, LASTING change in your life.
